Masterson’s Tavern , situated in the center of Moonee Ponds , markets itself as a trendy “hipster” hangout , but my recent visit at this establishment turned into one of the worst experiences of my life . While the bar may look welcoming at first glance , what I encountered behind its threshold was shocking and unacceptable on multiple levels .

From the moment I entered , it was clear that sanitation was not a priority at this bar . The floors were sticky , and a foul smell of stale beer and uncleaned toilets permeated the entire venue . For a business that offers beverages , these issues are absolutely intolerable and raise serious concerns about the sanitation of their offerings.
